Jim Farnsworth

Jim Farnsworth has a demonstrated history of providing broad general business leadership for large-scale businesses and their customers. He does this in diverse industries, including telecommunications, technology, finance, retail, health care, real estate and general business services. Additionally, Jim has successful experience selling and working in outsourced and contracting arrangements with clients ranging from small business owners to Fortune 100 C-level executives around the world. Jim is currently the founder and senior partner of virtualwirks, specializing in helping organizations ignite their virtual, home-based or telecommuting capabilities. Prior to that, he was a senior leader who built and led the @Home business unit for TeleTech – one of the world’s largest publicly held BPO providers – and had additional experience as a C-level executive with one of the pioneering firms in the home worker market. These roles complement his other previous leadership experiences with MCI Telecommunications, ADT Security Services and the federal and local government sector. Jim holds a BA in International Relations and Business from the University of New Mexico.

Currently engaged as Cook Street's Chief Operating Officer, Terry has worked in the wine and food industry for over 5 years. With a BA in Philosophy and International MBA, Terry has utilized her entrepreneurial background within many different industries, as a financial consultant for small start up businesses and in her own entrepreneurial private label wine venture. Last year Terry was nominated as one of the Denver Business Journal's business women of the year.

David Mayer

David Mayer II has over twenty-five years of experience in strategic marketing, brand management, corporate finance, and management consulting. In his current role as EVP of Specialized Expertise Outsourcing, he oversees SXO engagements in the areas of strategic marketing and brand management, M&A advisory services, enterprise finance and treasury management, corporate anthropology, and KM system implementation. Previously, he served as Director of the Business Strategy Practice at marketing consultancy Extelligent. Prior roles include Director of Strategic Marketing for Intelligent Electronics, and Director of Global Marketing for EarthInfo, Incorporated. He has managed consulting engagements for clients including Sun Microsystems, AT&T Wireless, Bain & Company, IDC, Pizza Hut, Mapquest, TeleTech, General Electric, First Data, McDATA, CH2M HILL, ValueClick, CMP Media, Tech Data Corporation, Carlson Wagonlit, Mercury Interactive, and Intel, among others.
Mr. Mayer has extensive working experience in international business, with previous consulting engagements in 14 countries on four continents. A published author in the field of marketing theory, Mr. Mayer holds a BS in Finance from Colorado State University, as well as an MS in Marketing and an MA in Anthropology from the University of Colorado.

Jenn Joralemon brings with her 10 years of interior decorating and furniture design experience for both residential and commercial spaces. As Lead Designer for HW Home she specialized in furniture space planning and staging. She also collaborated with architects, designers and developers and managed a retail sales team of twenty people.

Chelsea Brown

Chelsea Brown came from a commercial architecture background, with five years experience in space planning, interior material specification, documentation and construction administration. She was a project manager for DLR Group’s corporate design sector, specializing in commercial tenant-improvement projects rangining in
size from 1,200 SF - 200,000 SF. She became a LEED-AP in 2009, and was the national sustainability lead for DLR Group’s company-wide Interior Design sector.

Mindy Nies

Mindy Nies is the Lead User Experience Architect at Level 3 Communications overseeing User Interface and User Experience efforts for Level 3's suite of internal and customer facing mobile applications. Prior to joining Level 3, she lead UI and UX activities at Ball Corporation and owned and operated the nationally recognized interaction + branding design firm, Nies Design which serviced small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. She got her start in the design industry as a lead designer for desktop publishing giant, Quark, Inc, back in the 90's, where she heavily influenced the UI for QuarkXpress 4.1 and QuarkXpress 5.0 while also providing creative direction for advertising and multimedia product development. Notable is Mindy's extensive service leading the local and national professional design community through her role as President of AIGA Colorado, a 501(c)3, from 2007-2009. She has also held a board position with the Denver Art Museum Design Council and has held multiple seats on the AIGA Colorado board of directors over the past decade. Mindy enjoys spending her spare time with her friends and her family in Arvada, Colorado.

Carrie’s passion for design is evident in her commitment to design leadership via her three terms of service to the board of directors of AIGA Colorado – the professional association for design. She also shares that passion with the students she serves at the Colorado Film School, Front Range Community College, and the Community College of Denver as an adjunct instructor. “I thrive on being able to inspire and instruct the next generation of designers, while being an active participant in the field myself. I very much value the Mentorship role I’ve been asked to play for urbandwellers™, as I see it as another tangible way to connect young people to the value of design”.
